New Stuff~

SO! It's the day after Christmas and I'm still up cause I don't want it to end yet (just in case you're wondering). I got an iTunes gift card, and you know what that means...yes...I just now bought some of the new G Dragon songs...Don't look at me like that...I'm not a bad fan okay!
Geez...ㄱㅅㄱ
Anyway, I'm totally falling for this guy all over again. His skills in fitting lyrics together and making the music sound TOTALLY AWESOME is one of the reasons why I made him my favorite rapper of all time (sorry Yongguk...I still love you very very much...~<3).
Hope you all had a great Christmas, and I wish you the best New Year wishes.
Keep spreading the kpop love and remember to Peace Love Kpop!

(No one reads this, idk why I post T~T)

Irked Dragon

Ok, so I have this friend. I haven't known her for too long, but she's pretty cool (you know, pretty chill) but I know that her personality is one of..."special"character. So, almost every time I would talk about kpop around her I would always be talking about G Dragon (if you didn't know, he's my ultimate bias to infinity and beyond). Anyway, she eventually started taking a little interest in him and I was thinking "cool! Another kpop fan is gonna be born!" But then I found out what kind of fan she's starting out as...a noob fan (now, many people have many different meanings behind noob. Some are, in the sense of video games, someone who hasn't learned the ropes. Others are just more of a "new guy new job" sort of thing. But when it comes to kpop, for me, a "noob fan" means liking one or two sings and then labeling yourself as a hardcore kpop fan. No research, nothing. For her, it's two songs, G Dragon's "Heartbreaker" and "One of a Kind".

My opinion is, if you're gonna consider yourself a hardcore fan, of anything really, you need to really know what you're a fan of. Hence why I quit calling myself a "gamer" and switched to "I really like these certain games". So, as you can see, I am very irked by this, to the point where I have to just completely ignore it and just try to get her to listen to more songs so it won't be as bad.

You might think this is a complete waste of time and energy, but no matter how hard I try I can't get rid of the feeling. I'm not in complete control of my emotions, if I was I would be the most perfect, obedient human being on the face of planet (but I'm not) so, I'm writing my frustrations out instead.

I'm an irked Dragon in a lot of senses and cranky. So without further a do-goodnight.

Sincerly,
A very Irked Dragon

The PSY Wave

Alright, since last I posted there has been a lot ( A LOT) of kpop stuff going on in America. Popular YG rapper PSY has taken the world by storm with his infamous Gangnam Style. But to a lot of hard core kpop fans (such as myself and probably a lot of you readers out there) are growing tired of hearing people pronouncing the most simple words in the song, for example: "Oppan Gangnam Style!" Or "Oppa Gang-nem Style!" (-_-") or when some people post on G Dragon's "Crayon" MV saying foolishness such as "He's just trying to copy PSY because he's jealous!" Person pleez, go slap yourself( FYI, PSY and G Dragon are both from the same record label called YG Entertainment). Now, don't get me wrong, the song is super cool and fun to dance and sing along to; but it's going on over kill. Sadly, it's the macerana ( idk if I spelled that right) of 2012. Even PSY himself said he was kind of getting tired of the song. What could be any worse than fake kpop fans and an over blown, music biased media? The fact that PSY signed with Justin Beiber's record company! Of all the people he could have signed with. *sigh* and of course, it's eventually gonna die down, but then people are gonna be "over kpop" and will not have even given any other kpop artist or group a chance. To a lot of Americans kpop is generalized with PSY. I haven't seen many doors opened for kpop here yet by PSY, only the few concerts held by the record companies in only the big cities (NY, LA, etc...). So please, if you are a PSY fan, but you have no idea about any other kpop group or artist out the in the great, colorful world of KPOP, I beg you...look up some groups. I know you'll love at least one. I'll even give you a head start. Check out these great groups: BIGBANG, 2NE1, Super Junior, B.A.P, Sunny Hill, KARA, Block B, Girls Generation (SNSD), Lee Hi, and tons more! Now go on YouTube and watch. All of them. Now.

Go.

Right now.
