After School's Jooyeon was admitted to on November 21st while rehearsing for the '2011 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards' for acute nephritis (inflammation of the kidneys).
Pledis stated: “Jooyeon has temporarily stopped promotional activities and is getting treated at the hospital, as the doctor recommended. It’s an illness that can be cured quickly through a simple process of medication and rest, so please don’t worry too much.”
After School's Japanese agency, avex, also said: “Although After School is supposed to start Japanese promotions at the end of November, we think that the artist’s recovery is more important. So rather than immediate promotional activities, we have decided on rest… Jooyeon insisted on participating in the Japanese promotions, but she has been dissuaded from doing so.”
